Experience

I began practicing yoga in 1983. I’ve taught thousands of yoga classes. People ask me what style I teach and I can’t say. After teaching for so long, it really is a nameless tradition full of many elements of many great teachers who I’ve studied with and lots of other factors that have risen up along the way. It’s primarily influenced by Pranakriya Yoga (based on the teachings of Swami Kripalu). I teach a contemporary, transcendent style that is rooted in the tradition of Kripalu Yoga constantly recreating each class in a new way. Classes are rigorously in the moment.

I believe in the transformational power of yoga. I’ve experienced it myself and know deeply that there’s something real to yoga’s enigmatic inquiry. I care about my students and I’m passionate about yoga. I want my students to experience the true power of yoga.
